8740 Series, 20kW Water-Cooled RF Loads
The 8740 Series RF loads are compact, non-radiating solutions built for continuous RF power dissipation in high-power transmitter and transmission line systems. Designed for environments where thermal control and space efficiency tare critical, these loads convert RF energy directly into heat through a hollow resistive film element, with the heat efficiently absorbed by internal water flow.
With broadband, low-VSWR performance and virtually no ambient heat generation, the 8740 Series can be installed in any position even in tight or thermally sensitive spaces. Operation requires up to 8 gallons (30.4 liters) per minute of potable water, making it ideal for long-duration, high-power applications where aggressive heat removal is essential.
